Ok I dont know if Im really going to win the Mayoral Race, but If I do the following is a brief list of the schedule I plan to keep the next couple of days.

1st Week Plan and Have Party.

Riverwalk Celebration with Local San Antonians as the musical entertainment.

2nd Week Sit Down with City Council and Go Over Budget

I have to know how much money Im working with before any kind of changes can be made.

3rd Week Sit Down with Law Enforcement Top Cops

Establish Problem areas and come up with creative plan to tackle each issue without

diverting major funds

4th Week Sit Down with School Superintendent.

Figure out where we are . what we need and how to make problem areas better.

I'd say my first month is going to be pretty busy, but thats what happens when youre called to

lead.

Big-E Tough on Crime..Every Time

So, 3 days ago I asked of my fellow San Antonians what are the topics you guys want me to focus on when I plan on running for Mayor of this fine city. Unfortunately, I didnt get any responses. Thats ok, Ive done homework on the subject, and turns out San Antonio's Crime rate is the highest in the nation.

The FBI released statistical data that indicated that San Antonio per capital has the highest crime rate, and this was released in May of this year. Driving aorund the city one can easily see why. Prostitution, and Drugs overwhelm the south and south southeast sides. Graffiti removal. cant keep up with new graffiti, and the curfew is flatout ignored, let alone re-enforced.

Electing me as Mayor, is a fix to all of these problems. If elected I will fine parents on Graffiti,

increase fines on kids who are out past curfew, and make the call of putting more cops on the street, and not pulling funds away from a critical needs item for the city.

Now the task wont be easy, and I go into it knowing that there are many pitfalls I might encounter. That being said, Im confident that with me as your mayor, you can rest assured, knowing that your rest is assured.

Ha Ha...Made you look...I know its been a while since I actually posted, but to go into the past yr of my life would take more then a post about me running for a position I will never get. But in the short term, yep ya boy E is actually running for political office at his local college.

The way it works is, for my final, I'll be running against fellow classmates and I actually have to convince them to vote for me b/c they cant vote for themselves..Or else we'd have a 13 way tie.

That being said, Im going to post several local hot topic items, you the blogger are gonna tell me which of the top 3 caoncern you, and from there, I will run on those as my platform. You can reply to my post, or as usual email me directly for privacy reasons.

Here's a rundown of some of the more controversial things Ive noticed.

1. Lifting the cellphone ban in school zones. (I have 3 schools on either side of my house)

2. Moving Strip clubs out of the City Limits

3. Free Wireless for the city. (Houston's allready experimenting with this)

4. Turning 281 into a toll road (Im actually for this)

5. Creating Fine for Parents of kids who Graffiti and making them clean up areas there kids tag. (Corpus Christi is doing this)

6. Requiring Sex Offenders to have sign outside of there house.

7. Creating a Car Pool Van Voucher system.

Again Im running off the 3 that you guys tell me. Odds are By next tue. My inbox will be low, but what the hey, its worth a try.

That being said, who knows, this might be the start of me blogging again, stay tuned for my next post tomorrow..

Dream Team vs. Redeem Team..Why I Might Surprise You

With the Redeem thuggin each and every team they run up on, Im somewhat reminded of the summer of 92 when the Original fellas went over to Barcelona and showed naked @$$ at a tune to 43.3 ppg BEATDOWNS..As I watch the Kobe, Bron Bron, Bosh, and Paul, I ponder, How does this team stack up against the ATG'S of 92...Its being debated everywhere so I THOUGHT i'd chime in with my take..

In the matchups I wanna make one thing clear..I TOOK THE TEAMS AS THEY WERE CONSTRUCTED..The players selected at the times they were selected..Not when in there primes...With that said, its assumed you see a starting 5 from 1992 like this

Heres why

Magic had to unretire to come and play for the dream team. Jason Kidd is 33. I give a slight passing edge to Magic but Speed, agility, and defense are all advantages Jason would cream Magic on.

SG His Airness Vs. Kobe adv..His Airness

Heres Why.

At the time of the Dream Team MJ was at the Apex of his prime. You wasnt touchin MJ. I dont care who you were and are today. Fresh off a Championship he dominated on every side of the court. From lockin his guy down, to droppin 40 MJ crushed. Kobe wouldnt know what to do. Cant beat MJ with offense, he was far to good a defender at that time..Cant try to lock him down..Jordan Rules..

SF Scottie Pip vs. Carmelo Anthony. Scottie

Here's why.

Everything I said about MJ Scottie did at a robinesque level. Scottie could lock you down and score from all over the place. Carmelo would get shutout. Scottie would be streakin down the lane while snowbird tried to steal easy buckets...

PF Sir Charles vs. Bron Bron..adv Bron Bron

I had to wrestle with this one. First you have a True Power Forward going up against a guy who could easily play the PF. One was coming down from his prime, and one has yet to reach his. One has an all around game, and one was dominant in the paint. I have to go with Bron Bron..

Here's Why.

Charles would have to work to stay with Bron, but Bron would have to work in the paint. They somewhat cancel out. In the end though, Bron has that certain ability to catch fire and go. Highly Streaky...If Bron is own, Sir Charles starts to get dirty..

Center Admiral/Ewing vs Howard. adv Howard

The Admiral has shown me on more then one occasion that when matched up against a Shaq type he gets overmatched. Ewing gor physical, but an up down game would kill him.. Howard for all intensive purposes brings a physical game, can run like a sprinter, and can jump out the gym.

He creams these powder puffs in the paint on rebs. And in a game with the players mentioned above, rebs are gonna be at a premium..

Bench

adv Dream Team.

You can zone all you want, but the Dream team had a bench chock filled with shooters. Larry Legend, Chris Mullen, Clyde the Glyde, and the Mailman all had range 17 ft extending. At its best Micheal Redd is the only living player on the current roster who can bust up a zone. As for the Redeem team, there strength is there speed. With a bench that has the likes of CP3, Darren Williams, D-Wade and Bosh, expect a heavy dose of up and down..

So tallying all of the above, Id say that in a very close battle given all the parameters Id have t go with the Dream Team in a very close game 106 to 98.

The Dream team isnt gonna run with this squad, but what they will do is play a sound controlled game focused on busting up the zone and straking on the misses. Kobe gives up 30 to MJ and I expect a huge game from Chris Bosh. The dream team has no answer for a 6-10 bigman who can shoot and defend in the post. The difference in the game, SHOOTING. Legend, Mullen, and MJ eat this team alive in the corners. The moment they figure out they gotta defend the 3 MJ, Sir Charles, and the Mailman start back to the basket beat-ins.

The only hope the redeem team woud have is controlling the tempo..If they could manage a game like the Warriors Play, it would get ugty quick for the golden yrs gang...

Ok so I wanna get ANOTHER HUGE gripe I got about dating right off my chest right now...So im with you, we fealing each other, we leave the spot, and get to yo place.. Everything is going great..Until, you get that GIRL-DONT-LET-HIM-GET-IT-ON-THE-FIRST-NIGHT-THOUGHT. You try to struggle through it as were making out, but you are slowly giving in to your temptaions.. We make it to your room continue ouor kiss/grope fest on the bed. That little voice in your head TURNS INTO A LOUD SCREAM, and the next thing you know, homie at crib watchin Frazier and eating Taco Bell, while surfin porn during the commercails..Hard as Chinese Algerbra, yet frustrated like a fat kid with his hand an empty cookie jar...Nothing Happened..

You call me, and say " I know we went far, but im a "Good Girl" and I dont want you thinking of me like that"..Oh, cuz the latter, you know, thinking of you as an adult who has needs and would like those needs met is to much of a disrespectful mindset to be in..

(Not like im thinking to much at this point anyway)

Look, I know it may not sound this way, but Im callin you back. Alot of young cats consider it a victory if they get you back home and bone, and then conviently loose your personal details, but some of us are more then comfortable seeing where it can go after the sex. I get it, the risk reward in such a scenario benefits the man more then the woman...

But, and im going somewhere with this, maybe a little casual "activity" mixed in can be a good thing...

A couple of the Pros..

1 Its out the way. Why delay the moment, and set yourself up for a possible letdown..If its not that great, it can be worked on, better yet, you can ask that brotha to leave, never call him back, and come up with whatever excuse that fits you..He'll never know.. If its good, then you know right off the bat theres footing...

2. Now that the sex is on the table, the only other intimate detail is the closet, and what skeletons remain there. Self explanatory, but there are some who want to know the following questions..

1. Married

2. Divorced

3. Kids.

If you can get theno trinity (which you wont by atleast 60%) then you know this brother aint attached. Good sex with a brother with no skeletons...Lookie there he got a shot....

The con, you get the YES you dont want..Now ima go ahead and put it out there. Not all of yall, but some of yall are comfortable with a yes up there..Some are cool with 2 yes'es (Yall know who yall are to! ) You get the sex, you get a yes, and worst case scenario, you just created a "buddy"

3. That "itch" is scratched..Thus the basis of my arguement. Who doesnt have an occasional taste for chocolate cake..Who among us doesnt crave every know and again. ITS NORMAL...

Why it gotta be nasty? Are we honestly in highschool again? Sex is just that. Sex... A mutual agreemant of the swapping of personal fluid followed by the potential ejaculation of one if not both of the participants resulting in a calm relaxing state..

THATS MY DEFINITION...I have a great idea of the rebuttal...Here goes...All of the above with emotions attached right??? Well, Im puttin it out there, KJ isnt asking for it on the first night, but if it happens, he wont stop it. One of my homies from my Navy Days back in Hi. Asked if he could guest blog and wanted to get a feel on a topic that has bothred him...So without further adieu, I
give you KJ....

So im at the spot last night making it do what it do. And I get to the bar and low and behold I run into my future baby-momz...Lil Ma is 5'6 caramel complexion, about 135 with Megan Good Lips and a Trina ......Well I think yall know where i'm going...(Fellas I cant make it up it wiggled when she walked with it! ) Anyway I approach her and introduce myself and ask her for her name..We'll just call her Kiesha to protect the innocent..(im in Baltimore every other girl here is named Kiesha)
I buy her a drink, she gets a little more comfy and begins to tell me about herself. She's a Computer Security Officer and she enjoys Watchin football,basketball and going to the movies.
Fellas, perfect right? Thats what I thought to.

So I decide Im gonna take the convo up a notch. I ask her what she looks for in a man. She says " I wanna thug..Nothing against a hard workin brotha doing his thang, but I need a nicka " I had to make sure I heard her correctly as she was sipping the 11 dollar shot of Patron I had just purchased her . Obviously a look at me would lead her to believe im no thug. Faaaar from it.
I contract for the federal Gov. to catch thugs..I had to ask "Why would you a succesful sista be intersted in someone who is out on the blocks" ..

Stars in her eyes ,she goes into great detail about being with a guy who lives for the moment, Who's always on the grind, and constantly focused. Fellas as t-h-yck as she was the weaker man in me wanted to hit the whip and come back in that bar with a wifebeater on sporting 3 cell phones and cornrows..But the stronger part of me had to walk away..I thanked her for her convo and left.

She had me heated.. I could tell she wasnt feeling me, thats fine, I wasnt tryin to walk her down the aisle, (maybe down the block to the Mo) but to look at her Idve never guessed she was into thugs.. Especially at the spot we was in. Collar shirt and Nice shoes are a must there. Not to many thugs I know are going to put the effort in to throw a shirt on thats not a White Tee or a wife-beater...

So hears my age old question to E's readers. Why do the Ladies need a thug? I mean I got nothing but love for Lil Wayne and Jeezy. But you mean to tell me that if pitted against a good lookin tall brotha who got his own everything, he wouldnt even come close? (Ive made Wayne's Cd Pop twice but I'd like to think standing next to him I gotta shot with a shawty)

If TI and Pooch Hall are next to each other TI wins? (Through in pooch cuz thats who E says his wifey will leave him for..lol.) There are many good brotha's out there, I should know, Im one of the single ones, but getting shot down in spot like B-more where im literally outnumbered here 3 to 1 makes me wander what the hell am I doing wrong. The best comedian of the 2000's Bernie Mac has died at the gae of 50 due to complications with pnuemonia. Its a very sad day over here b/c I was A HUGE BERNIE MAC FAN.

I wanna remember him NOT for the rift at the Barack luncheon, but for the ALL THE TIME'S HE MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD THAT I WAS IN TEARS...Im gonna miss the hell outta him. If you are not a fan of Bernie Mac, stay away from here as I will be posting a Bernie Mac moment the whole week starting today..His best work in my opinion is shown above with his Motha Phucka bit. tight around the 4 min mark..

Black Proffesionals..Profiles of a lost Workforce

On a very popular blog, I made the statement that my company (---_---) has about 400 employees, and about 4 of them are black. Seriously 4. Though people believed me, they were puzzled by the number. I'm here to tell you I dont see alot of black folk in the white-collar workforce. I cant honestly tell you why this is . I can point out a couple of things that got me to my place in life and maybe it will serve as a blueprint.

1. I never settled ..When I joined the military I made it my goal to get a job I can do that required my brain and not my body for labor. Or worse for bullet catching.

2. I inspired myself. When told I couldnt do something. All it really did was make me want to do it, an d do it better then my counterparts. Ultimatly I wanted to get so good at it, that I wanted to teach it ..And I did.

3. I took a job that matched my skills. When I got out the military I made it a point to find a job that coincided with what I did while in the military. It had to pay enough to allow me to leave the military, and not lose any face while doing so.

4th. I made a promise to myself I'd do better. Ok I have a goal and thats to be in a job where im complety happy irreguardless the salary, yet I will allow myself to save enough money for a rainy day. Im getting there now, but I have a ways to go.

I cant speak for the rest of our small group, but I know this much to be true. I got where im at, because I was not comfortable settling, and taking the easy way.

With all that said. Is our new social epidemic a lack of a whitecollar workforce. How do we get more young proffesionals out there? Im interested in this debate, b/c it does hurt to not see alot of us out there. It does hurt when i go to lunch that in the cafeteria mine is one of the rare faces I see of color.

My people, what steps do we take to make this happen, and how do we maintain it. In the 90's many of us were out there, but come the new decade,, it went away. How do we get it back peepz? Simple question....

Im jus sayin.. These are probalby the most predictable Divisions in all of football. Niether really brings it to the table, and the top teams always underachieve. I will however say this, one of the teams from these 2 divisions, is my odds on favorite TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL...

With that said

AFC WEST CHAMPS, AFC CHAMPS SUPERBOWL CHAMPS San Diego Chargers. 13-3

LT is gonna come back healthy and pissed. With the addition of the WR's they got in the offseason, and the D, that is there staple, this team is simply unbeatable. If they can figure out a way to get and maintain homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, they will lock the NFL DOWN.

Here's the bottom line, if this team can stay out of its own way, there my pick. Period.

The lost of Javon Walker, and no premier running back will be huge. I know they have a system, but that system isnt built for baby mama havin rb's who cant stay healthy..Travis im talkin to you.

Watchem cuz in 3 yrs they'll have the best DT in football. Watchem cuz of LJ, and maybe even Tony -G. But thats about it.

I'll say this, despite having my pick of rookie of the yr in Darren McFadden, he wont be enough for the QB, who will need atleast 2 yrs to figure it out. Hey, if they can get it together, with there roster, it will be tough. They have 2 of the best CB's in football, and they are gonna be pretty much out there playin with nothin to lose. I'd like to see them shore up the O-line. Other then that tough young team that will lose 6 easy.

NFC WEST Champs St. Louis Rams 9-7

Not much sizzle here. They 'll be healthy at all the key spots, and will rely heavily on Howie's son on D. Expect a major yr from Stephen Jackson, and Marc Bulger .

OK, I gave everybody fair warning, and now its time for me to give my unabashed, full fledged, no joke 100% all out take on Dark Night Batman part 2.

*****AS THE TITLE SAY'S IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILLED SCROLL TO MY OTHER POST**************

Dark Knight is by far the best movie I have seen in the past 5 yrs. It has everything a guy could ever ask for. Its creepy, suspensful, sexy, and someone very important in it DIES... The cast of characters inclue Batman, Harvey 2-Face, Commish Gordon, Morgan Freeman as the gadget guy, his Kate played by Maggie Gylenhaal, and THE LATE GREAT HEATH LEDGER AS THE JOKER...I SAYAGAIN, THE LATE GREAT HEATH LEDGER.

Heath stills the show as the Joker. From start to finish he puts the cops and the people of Gotham in positions that cause them to either kill or be killed..It all starts out with the a Bank Robbery. Joker pretty much enlist the help of a crew who's sole job is to kill each other off if they take to much time. He starts with 8, by the end of the robbery, he's down to 3.

While around the very crooks he robbed from, he tells them that he's not there enemy, BATMAN is. Of course there to pissed to realize this, so one of them makes the horrible mistake of sending a goon to take care of him. This guy is quickly introduced to the pencil trick.

Batman cant get a beat on him throughout the entire movie.

I dont plan on typing out the movie, but know these talking points.

1. The joker's most fascinating feat may have been his birth of Harvey two face at the death of Kate.

2. His most clever trick may have been threating to blow up a hospital if the guy who planned to out Batman wasnt stopped.

3. But the Boat trick. Best one of the bunch. Essentially, you detonate them, or vice versa.

On to Batman, ya boy may have had the sickest motorcycle eva! My homie dave said one of his Kids may miss college so e can get his hands on one.

Back to the review, througout the movie he's seriously vexed by the joker. Cant figure him out. Alfred finally breaks it to him, this guy is playing it with nothing to lose. You cant figure out a guy who doesnt have a care in the world.

Batman finally nabbs him by pretty much making the FISA BILL toiletpaper. However, it came to late as he had already lost Kate in a game of pick the one you save. Harvey Dent, or Kate.

People its a 100..This is a mjust see twice movie. Ive seen it, and will be watchin it again. It go's that hard. Plan to jump, plan to shout, but plan to watch every minute.

Lets pick right up where I left off last night

AFC SOUTH CHAMPS..Jacksonville Jaguars...TADA!!! 12-4

To much of the perfect storm allows for this team to be reeaalllyy good this year. Payton Manning is coming off knee surgery, They play the NFC North for 4 games, David Garrard is contiously getting better, and they restocked on that Defense in the offseason. A defense that was punishing before. Expect this team to make ALOT OF NOISE.

Wildcard

Indianapolis Colts 11-5

They'll have alot of teams gunning for them. Payton is vulnerbale (allegedly) there monster at the DE Freeney many argue has lost a step, Marvin Harrison's off-field issues etc..I expect all of that to bother them at the beginning. However, there gonna figure it out around week 6. And then, as usual its gonna be a tough battle. Expect them to be that wildcard team no one wants to see.

Close but no Cigar

T. Titans 9-7

The division is just to tough. There going to split with the Texans , and that loss will keep them OUT the playoffs. Vince has to step it up. This is just a fact. They cannot go anywhere when he's barerly got a 70 orso passer rating. I'd like to see those WR's catch a little better to.

Still Just Watching

Houston Texans 6-10

Not having Dunta Robinson is gonna be HUGE. You simply cant replace him with Dallas waste. Furthermore, alot of there progression will rely HEAVILY on a ROOKIE LT. A guy this blogger personally believes should not be here, and should have been Mendenhall. That being said, if he can keep the backside of Schaub safe, I think it might make the difference of a win orso. This team needed to adress running back early, and im sorry Steve Slaton was not what I consider getting it done. Esp if the rumors about him and ball control early out are true.

On to the NFC South..

NFC SOUTH Champs New Orleans Saints 11-5

You can officially start drinking the Reggie Bush Koolaid. This is the yr he breaks out, and alongside Jeremy Shockey and there soon to be Probowl WR, this team has an offense no one want to line up against. There defense got toasted arially last yr. I wont lie it wasnt pretty. I expect there 1st round draft pick to change that some. I have said this since Drew was in SD. He's an every other yr. guy . Last yr stunk. Expect him to be whispered for MVP this yr.

Wildcard

Carolina Panthers 9-7

Heres all im going to say about this team. None of this is valid if they cant keep Delhomme upright. Period.

So close...

Tampa Bay Bucs 8-8

Once again, if youre in the Brett Favre chase, odds are youre not satisfied with your QB. I f youre not satisfied with youre QB, odds are that means that position you consider weak. There D. is old, but solid, and Cadillac has to be healthy. He just has to be. If not they might not go very far.

This might get ugly..

ATL Falcons 2-14

Nothing and I mean nothing will make this team good THIS YEAR. There QB's 3 yrs away, they lost Dante, and Norwood will see 8 in the box each and every time. Its not gonna be pretty for the dirty birds but they know that. The good news is, if you enjoy inside football, this team is perfect. Young Tail back, Young, Quarter back, and Young WR'..I mean young and fun free, who can hate that.

Ok yesterday I told yall that Barring any unforseen miracles, Dallas and New England should walk away with there respective divisions. To be fair, Dallas may have it a little tougher though. Infact EVERYONE may have it tougher then New England..That being said, lets check out the NFC AND AFC NORTH...

NFC NORTH CHAMP NFC Minnesota Vikings 10-6

Let not there team surpise you..This team is going to run it in your face and smash it in your mouth. Adiran Peterson will get MVP touts early and expect the line to manhandle anyone standing in there way. Unfortunatly all this is hinging on the arm of Tavaris Jackson. I say again Tavaris "I can barely compete a 15yard dump route jackson" I know what i said about Brett, but he wasnt going to a team in his division anyway..That doesnt count, heres what does. This defense brought it last year, and the offense minus the passing attack cam e at you hard. If they can keep this formula up, expect no one to want to face them..

Not to mention, they have Pacman, (who will be on the field) and they went out and selected a top notch CB in the first round that would start for any other team.

I just have issues with the D. Strahan is by no means LT, but he did bring heart. As for the D, Jason Taylor is going to make an impact, I just dont know how much. He admits he may have at best a yr to 2 tops. Look, tuna aint getting rid of a TOP NOTCH D guy for nothin. This DOES NOT PASS THE SMELL TEST. This team will live and die by Jason, if he's on watch out.

Ugh this is gonna be tough. You can bring in Tuna, Shula and anyone else, but the stink of 1-15 is always gonna be there. PERIOD..The good news is, with a young QB all you can do is go up from here. CNN's Black in America..A tale of 2 Stories...

Whenever I watch a documentary, I try my hardest to view it with the eyes of a person who doesnt live that life. My goal is to watch and get a better understanding of whats really going on and see if I learned anything new from watching the show. That being said, it was hard for me to watch CNN'S Black in America without being a little more crittical then normal givin that A, I am indeed a Proffesional Black Male in America, and B Im married to someone who is Black and living in America.

If im being totally honest, I give the overall 2-day special a 5 on a 10 point scale. Before I breakdown why, allow me to express this quick point about the special. It was infact, groundbreaking. MSNBC tried something along these lines, but there story was based more on a young man tracing his roots back, and coping. It is my hope that other networks pickup where CNN left off. There are so many aspects of peoples lives that frankly we just dont know about, and with us on the verge of potentially electing a blackman as president, I for one am a HUGE FAN of full disclosure. I want want to see how this affects the whiteman, brownman, blackman, and soforth.

Ok , back on track..Day1 Black in America Blackwomen.
Family I was VERRRRRY dissapointed by this. 90% I repeat 90% of the special was dedicated to painting sisters as promescurous sex goddeses who rarely work, engage in unsafe sex, cant marry, and have low self esteem. The sistahs who are out there, are to out there, and only want to focus on there careers. Atleast thats the picture CNN painted on Wednesday's canvas.

Here's a summation
There was a story of a woman who through bad choices/lack of dad was living in Houstons fifth ward district(avg. ghetto usa) trying to make it as a real estate agent and raise her 5 kids by her self. Everyday was a struggle between want and need. She gets kicked outta her home, and the gamily has to move into a lower mortaged house. She's making it though, but its tough. She blames her upbringing for her decision to makem men her burden/pleasure. Growing up withoutt any prominent ones in her life, resulted in her chasing them in her adolescent age. 2 kids beofore 20, and 5 total by 35. Another story was of a cutie who had unprotected sex just once and contracted HIV. This one broke my heart. This girl has alot of energy, and she has the looks of a dyme. She's now an activist, and speaks out against AIDS/HIV. The last snippet I'll provide dug into the life of a biracial married couple in ATL. Sistah with Opie..The situation didnt bother me at all. Im all about people dating whoever makes them happy. What bothered me was the commentary given by Tara Wall )(conservative sistah) .."Black men are taken aback by my sucess and often dont want to date a succesful sister"

WRONG WRONG WRONG. I dont know what circles up in DC she's runnin in, but I know first-hand that nothing is more attractive to a man, then a woman that can do her. Throw in a cute face , and the ability to make a brotha a country style breakfast, followed with freakishly heathenist sex, and I'd say a sista is the most lethal thing on the planet. And those women exist.

The proffesional sista who was taught by momma the way to keep, and maintain a proffesional career/relationship. Sadly CNN was more interested in highlighing baby-mommadrama and the rest of the stereotypical assumptions made of black women.

Here's 3 things CNN could have done to improve the women segment.

1st. Hilight Sista's in there comfort zones. Ie the Beauty Parlor, Massage shop etc. Give them an open mike and moderate it all topics ranging from politics, to gossip.

2nd More showcasing of the Proffesional Sista. Investiigate her struggle to maintian in a workforce that is DOMINATED BY THE WHITE MALE, all the while maintaining her blackness

3rd. Coastal representaion. Sho how sista's from Cali differ from there Houston, Baltimore, and NY counterparts

Overall I gave the Black Womens segment a 3.

On to the Brothas.
Someone at CNN must have got the memo, either that or they were directed by 2 totally different people. Whatever the case, it was like night and day.

CNN showcased a tale of 2 brothas out the gate. Brotha one was the modern dayt Cliff Huxtable. Model family 3 kids all succesful, and wife is a Circuit Court judge. He a superintendent , along with his wife raises his kids to be smart, repsectful and value an education. Brotha 2 was a former felon who accepted God while in jail and made it a point in his life to turn young brothas life around.

Both men were in there mid to late 50's and had came up in newly de-segregated Arkansas.
The stories ran in perfect parralel as they showed how choices can shape and change your life.
Another story hilighted a young brotha who got a Computer Science Degree while in prison. No he's a felon so his job options are a little bleek, but he still remained positive and hopeful that his prospects will improve as time goes by.

Now here's where it FLOORED ME. A proffesor at Princeton did a study. Get this, 95% of blackmen with a felononious are criminal backround almost never get hired. Now that may sound steep but heres where I just sat there. A whiteman with the same prison wrapsheet has a 50% chance of getting hired. THE SAME STATISTICAL ODDS OF A BLACKMAN WITHOUT A PRISON RECORD...Essentially a blackman w/o a prison record is just as hirable as a whiteman with one.

Im going to let you digest that one for a bit....

Ok, Im back. They had Spike Lee on. He dove into the complexities he's faced trying to get his movies out. Many of them are privatly financed b/c Hollywood believes his message can be "to over the top"..Blackfolk we know code. The counter to his arguement was Joseph C. Philliips. He of Strickly Business, and small role fame. (He was the naval officer who married Denise on the Cosby's) He claimed that Hollywood does have the job's its just blackmen are lazy. Of course since he hasnt been heard of since Girlfriends axed him, I guess he's just to lazy to be found out there. Black conservatives irk me. Most of there stich is puttin us down. They seem totally oblivious to how society has ACTUALLY TREATED BLACKFOLK, and they come off as trying to hard to impress a culture that secretly could care less .

My last snippet is of he brotha they followed out on the job chase. This brotha was young, had 3 kids, and was on a daily grind. He was positive, and focused and in the end he got a job. A good one night stcoking, and delivering. Now they had another one, specific to me. A young brotha who was in a worfoce heavily dominated by wihtes. I thought it to be good as well, but I would have liked to see them go deeper into how he has to be proffesional while being black. Its a fineline that I think people need to see.

Overall I gave this special a 8

I'll close by saying this. CNN isnt going to impress everyone with there special I am one of those people. I will say though, that im really impressed with the effort. I felt Soledad Obrien did about as good as one could w/o the exp. of street life. I place a strong emphasis on someone being able to tell a story or drive a narrative they can somewhat relate to.
Blackfolk are a prideful people. We are proffesionals, we are entertainers, and we are family people. Not all of what you see on BET represents us . You wont catch a majority of our men walking around with wifebeaters and gold teeth. Also, you wont catch a majority of our sista's walkin round in booty shorts with 5 kids at home, and lookin to find there "Captain"... (dont act like dont know what that mean..)

CNN was able to provide insight on one of these,and for that I thank them. But im standin up for my sistas and asking them to to submit a better perspective on sistas the next time.

Last night when Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) won in what many are calling a 14 point blowout in NC, and narrowly lost to Senator Hillary Clinton in IN(D-NY) he did much more then become the presumptive nominee, he essentially did something that I dont see much of the Media touching on. HE BEAT THE CLINTON MACHINE... Let me put this in perspective. If you were to tell me 3 yrs ago that a first term senator, African American, (MIXED TO BE FAIR) with the name of Barack was poised to be the Democratic Nominee, i'd have taken whatever bet you wanted to give, and I would bragged and boasted that Super Tuesday will end it.

This is a story I wander why we dont see more of. I'll touch on this more later. Hillary is no longer viable, as PRESIDENT....With that said, people I wanna go on record as being one of those people who are STRONGLY FOR, a DREAM TICKET.

I love Barack to death. Being in love with him, I can point out his flaws politically. Here's just a few.

1. He's the most Liberal Senator in Congress (undebatable)

2. He cannot on his own, carry the LATINO VOTE (in Tx. he got swamped by her)

3. Much like black folk, White Women are another BASE we need as Democrats.

4. He's new. (This is a liability, b/c old folk dont like new, they want who they know)

5. A little Tooo Honest. Look, I love the fact that we have a politician who isnt one. But, he's gonna need someone to teach him the game. He ran a campaign on Hope, and it worked, but he's gonna have to run a WhiteHouse based on Results. The Clintons, for better or worse bring results.

Today, 2 New York City Police Officers were acquitted of all charges stemming from the shooting of an African American male the day before his wedding at his bachelor party. The question thats sure to resonate amongst many of us is simple, WHERE IN THE F*CK is the JUSTICE???

What am I missing? This young brutha was coming out of a club, with his people, posing no threat, and was gunned down. 21 shots. Ya'll, I'm heated, but im also mindful. This is just another example of why black folk in this country fill a deep resentment for the Justice System.

I wasn't old enough to here I have a Dream. I don't doubt that those who can remember, probably felt the same way I felt after hearing Barack deliver the speech he gave today. I would ask that when you listen to this speech, to not think about Rev. Wright, who you support, or the simple fact that this is a campaign season. Think about the reality of racism and what it is Barack is saying. I took from it that Barack has clearly pointed out that on both sides, we hurt. We as African Americans hurt from slavery. We hurt from Jim Crow laws established to keep us back. We hurt from poverty. We hurt from the 60's. We hurt from crooked cops who beat, raped, and when they got home draped there white sheets over there faces and continued with there social injustice.

My white friends hurt from that same poverty. They also hurt from being so qualified at a job, yet the only reason they don't get it is , is b/c an affirmative action hire who is at times no where near is equal, the eventual hire. They hurt b/c we live in a country that places emphasis on minorities in its social issues
and totally neglects the problems of the lower middle class white male.

We all feel pain. Yet, we choose not to heel. Instead, we chose to "go to our respective corners" and hope that we can elect some one who will speak on our pain, and totally neglect the problems of others. Thats our America. Thats in my personal opinion is where the change is needed the most.

We ALL have problems, and the biggest one out there now is the economy. Being broke is not black, white, yellow, or brown issue. Being broke is a green issue. The less green you have, the faster you'll figure out that were all equal when the lights are out.

I cant emphasize enough the power of the speech gave today by the Senator from Illinois. I don't say this as a supporter, but a person sincerely concerned about the fair and equal treatment of everyone. This had to happen and now that its out, lets move on.

And, rather then stand in there , and take it like a man, WE ALL, played the race card. People, do you want a president who cant be criticized? To a lesser extent, do you want a man in office whom the moment he gets criticized, chunks the race card out? If you answered yes to either of these, congrats are in order, you just confirmed to America that we are in fact nothing more then Angry black folk, whom in our own right have hidden prejudice's that we are to pride filled to except. If running for president were meant to be easy, trust me, we'd all know someone running for it close to our hearts. Barack needs to show not only us, but the rest of the world that not only can he take a punch, but, that he can punch and with a strike that leaves such a mark that the person who initially landed the first punch is to afraid to initiate further action b/c of the repercussions felt from the counter attack. He's NOT doing that. So, what we have now , are pundits, media personalities, angry call in guest, and the like serving as Big Brother coming to the rescue of lil brother, rather then letting him stand up for himself. I promise you, none of that makes him stronger.

The stance you take now, I want you to remember. This time next year, when its 2 am and your child is sick, and the ER visit alone is 500.00 (that's before you get the drugs.)remember who you voted for. I want you to remember this stance you plan to take when 2 yrs from now, your cousins, nephews, and friends are fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq or Iran b/c we voted for a guy who's sleeps with his finger firmly on the trigger. Finally, when you back on the block b/c Sprint, Frito Lay or insert said Blue Collar job here __________ or respectable White Collar Job there _____ had to make layoffs due to the recession remember that 3 yrs ago you couldve changed all this, instead, you went in the voting box and thought with your heart, and not your brain.

I say again, I'm a Barack fan, but if he gets slighted, you best believe twice today, and 3 times on Sunday I'm Voting Hillary. I do remember Bill's time in office, and despite a BJ in the oval office, those were great times for us. Id even argue the BJ had nothing to do with the way he lead us, so you can take that back to.

Yes my people, Barack presidential campaign speaks largely to the strides we've made, but please,

understand that its just the begining. The way we act now, will decide how many of us follow Barack. Dont throw away support to a party thats actually looks at everybody, and not just everybody who's got money.

I am a professional whom despite the office settings is nestled in a demographic that frankly put, has no benefit for me to vote democrat. But I do it, b/c I know they want whats best for this country for everyone , and not just a chosen few. For all my people reading, Im so glad that this years vote is so crucial, that even a mere suggestion by CNN that a certain race/gender may be split on who to vote for, has outraged the masses to no end.

Lets be clear, Black Women, do have an obligation to vote, as do Evangelicals, Mormons, and any other special interest groups whom feel there needs are being met with a particaular person. What I think we need to learn from all of this is just voting in and of itself is what we need MORE of. Frankly, I dont care who it is YOU vote for, just so long as you have your voice heard. (I do care, but im not gonna sway people to either direction...B.OB.)

Since I do have a MAJORITY of Sistahs who read the Page though Im gonna touch on it a little bit. Here's the question youre essentially being asked, DO YOU STAND BY YOUR MAN, or fight for GIRL POWER? Let put the race out there first.

Black Folk and Crabs.

Never has a race hated to see each other succeed as much as black folk. If youre educated, youre hated on b/c you think youre smarter then everyone else. (at least thats what youre charged with) If you worked your way up the system and got a nice job, your own place (outta the hood) and pay your bills , youre looked at as a sellout for not keepin in the struggle. Essentially in the black community, the only way any in the majority will show love for a black man in a suit is if he's preachin, or currently on trial. Anything else, we question his blackness..(call me crazy..but its what i see) This is where GOOD SISTAHS COME IN. Sistahs who actually vote arent crabs tryin to hold us back. There in the know on issues, active in there faith, and have opionions on more then just who so and so out there sleepin with. Or the B*tch in the corner wearin the same top she is.

Sistahs know GOOD bruthas from scrubs. Now, there being asked if Barack's the guy who's gonna leave them for the white chick after being supported by them when times were rough. Much like black folk in general HATE to see us become successful, the same can be said for women. I not only have 3 sisters, but ive worked in shops where I was the only man with 5 women, and ive been put in situations where the majority rule was female in nature. Here's what ive learned. Women will always keep an eye on there competition. ALWAYZ...You can guarentee that if there's a ish hot Senator, Congresswoman, or Govenor Female type making waves, Hill will know all about her. She doesnt need anyone comparing her to the succesful b*tch everyone keeps yappin bout.
Secondly, the higher and more successful they are, the least likely they will want to work with OTHER WOMEN.. If I had a dollar everytime a woman told me I work better amongst men as a whole, I could take a yr off. Somethin about the catty issues that can arise, and being the Boss B*tch. They dont want that EVER questioned. Putting Hillary in office may be the single most Succesful thing the womens movement could ever accomplish. Sisthas , know this. They also know that its Becky...Not Condy, Becky. I know this blog is all about REALTALK. And i, will never shy away from it. But i'll say this, there are things you hate that you can tolerate, and then there are things you hate that send a shiver down your back......I say again, its Becky....

Since were talking voting, lets put it out there. If Barack can somehow obtain the Democratic Nomination, he will have done so by not only beating Hillary, but former President Bill Clinton as well. DO NOT KID YOURSELF IF YOU DONT THINK BILL DOESNT HAVE HIS ELBOWS KNEE DEEP IN THIS ONE.

Everytime I look up on CNN, FOX or MSNBC, like clockwork, Barack will say one thing, and BILL and Hillary both react. This is dirty pool if you ask me. You dont here Barack's wife or John Edwards wife out there on the campaign trail AT ALL, yet Bill I could swear is running for re-election. Here's what im afraid of. She eventually becomes President, and everytime she is put into a sticky situation in which we need the PRESIDENT TO MAKE THE CALL for, she's gonna let her husband do all the foot work. If it works out , she's looked at as a genius, if it fails, she closes ranks, and we all get to know the press secratary well.. For her its a win win,

My personal thoughts on this years election are this. From a liberal standpoint, its important that whomever you elect as President throw out the Rulebook and just start from scratch. With an economy one bad hiccup away from recession, a war costing us TRILLIONS, and people waking around sick as dogs with no help in sight, its important that whomever they put in there from day one start his or her plans into effect ASAP.

Ok , so if youre like me and picked OSU last year b/c of the strength and power of Ohio St. you gotta be feeling some sort of vendication this year when you picked against them right? Here's the biggest lesson I want all college football fans, and even those who dont watch all that often to take from last night. I dont care how good your coaches are, your scheme is, or momentum , if I can out speed you, then im theoretically in the game. Thats how LSU won last night. Never has a lack of speed and talent been more evident then last nights championship game. Well last year, as also. The South Eastern Conference (SEC) has NFL calibur talent by the droves and when you play that level of competition every Saturday, its fairly easy to take on small fries like Ohio St.

In case you were wandering why Megan Good is pictured above, its b/c i finally caught Stomp the Yard on BSTRZ over the Holidayz. Fam, I gotta be honest, this movie was ok, but it reminded me clip for clip like the movie Nick Cannon did. (My computer is freezing now, but the one with the dueling bands) Kid with troubled past yet gifted talent goes on to stomp and help the guys who lose consistently win. In doing so, he gets the girl , and gets kicked off the team, only to get back on due to a last minute decision. I crave originality from my black folk. Frankly I didnt get it here. (BPD) is the most undermanned and overworked in the country, and now there not earning OT, so tensions are high. Mayor Carcetti will not deal with the feds to shave spending, and Im willing to bet you all that soon Dirt will appear on alot of the BPD's hands. Hey, we all gotta eat. As far as the streets go, Marlow is at it again. The east side is open for grabs, and Marlow does not seem intersted in sitting on his hands and letting old skool types come up on a very popular B-more area.

I planned on taking a survey as far as what the issue of the year is. Then I thought, you know what, its your blog, you dictate this issue and go with it. Without further adieu I give you all my serious issue of the year. VOTING.

Next year signifies the end of an era. An era that saw A US Battleship get attacked, NY DC, and to a lesser extent PA get terrorized, An entire City get submerged underwater and fail to recieve the crititcal support it needed in a timely fashion, a war START in Afghanistan, and Continue into Iraq, The US Dollar Plummit, The Housing Market Crumble, The price of gas shoot up 60 cents, At my very unofficial count at least 10 top aides resign to include the Top Lawyer, and CIA agent, and finally, a war that seems to never end.

People this is what 8 yrs of Bush got you. And before you say, ah man that stuff woulda happened regardless, well think about this. In 2000 when W. won the first time, he did so while losing the Popular vote. (US the people wanted Gore) .It wasnt until a rigged (my words ) Florida election proved that W. indeed pull it off. In 2004 when he was up for President again, it appeared he was losing again and depending on who you ask, if a recount were instituted, he very well might have.

All, that aside people, geton the grid. (Some of you very well know what that means) Voting will not kill you. Not voting will. If you want your voice heard, and you want change, people you gotta get your opinion on who you want to lead expressed.

If youre someone who opposes the war, then vote that way. If youre someone who wants your money to stay in your pocket, and not go somewhere else b/c pf a tax hike, vote that way. Dont let this election go by next year without registering.

The canidate pool is strong on both sides. You have people on one side who want little to know change while staying the course. You have people one one side who have made plans to start implementing immeadiate changes. The Baskin Robbin style secection should cover almost anything you can imagine.

Oops a Spears is pregnant again. This time though, its NOT Britney. Jaime Lynn (16) the younger sister of Britney Spears and Star of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 apparently was walking down the street tripped and stood up pregnant.

It happens I guess. Teen pregnancy is a big problem in this country..HUGE. As a parent, one of my biggest fears is to have my son come home one day and tell me that he infact got someone knocked up. So getting the obligatory public service announcement out of the way, here's my question what happens next to the future teen mom?? Can we safely assume that her career at Nickelodeon is over? Nothing beats having the star of your favorite kid show expecting.

Now to be fair to Jamie Lynn, its life, and at 16 I WAS very much "active." Kids are kids. It would be way to naive to assume that teenagers arent involved someway in sex. I guess the real issue know is how does she plan to embrace motherhood. Big sis has already LOST custody of her crumb snatchers, we can only hope that JL is a little more responsible.

Back From Baltimore Laptop Issues and Merry Xmas

Peepz. I dont know how to begin to tell you all the fun I had while in Baltimore this past week. Now normally to some of my new readers, youll catch me recapping how my days went each time I go to a city ive never been to before. Unfortunatly, my laptops backlight inverter went out, so I had nothing and I do mean NOTHING, on my most recent Road trip. However, I'll recap some of my Baltimore highlights.

1. If you like crab, this is the place for you. Phillips Seafood located on the Harbor is a knockout! I strongly reccomend the Trio Crab Cake Combo.

2. Black folk are everywhere there. I have never seen a city in which there are SOOOOO MANY Black Proffesionals. It was like a twilight zone episode that went the way of absolute perfection.

3. Its cold as all get out there this time of year. I was at John Hopkins all week, and oh yeah that place averaged 32 degrees. Freezing...

4 This is the worst time to fly..I left the Marriort at 430 for a 7am flight, and BWI was rediculous.

Fam, I wanna take this time out , to say that I have welcomed over 200+ unique new visitors to the site, and for a guy who started doing tis as a way to express all the randomness in his head, that means alot to me. Its been a very busy year, and you guys have came back, even when there were times like this past week when Ive been to busy to type. I cant began to tell you all how much that means to me. Im gonig to bring more and more heat to the blog. and the moment my laptop is back up and running , expect me to continue my road show clowning as well.

The media has a way of buryin a story using the line "Im tired of hearing about this, or its old news" etc etc..However, the moment they can sink there teeth into one Barry Bonds, they all come of the top rope ready to crush him with there best shots. I want to see Rockets head on a pike right next to Barry's in the center of the Sports Time Square. He holds the alltime strikeout record, multiple winner of the cy-young award (the pitchers version of an MVP) and has world series rings he's earned while allegedly being under the inlfuence of the juice.

1. The Wire

I dont know how to describe it, I'll just say this. Imagine a show that was so good, that you looked forward to the repeat of it. The Wire hit home hard if you grew in a rough city enviroment and saw it from a young age...

2. Dexter.

The guilty pleasure I get watchin this show should be illegal. A serial killer who works for the police force. Incredible.

3. Lost

Tie for Best season finale of last year. So we know Kate and the Doctor got off the island, but thats all we got. Shows shouldnt be allowed to tease you like that. There cliffhanger was nothing short of spectacular. Ripped up newspaper with an obit of a dead island member..And, the doc tryin to get back to the island..Tough TO BEAT..

4. Law and Order SVU

The other best finale, Luda came through and ripped them all to shreads..Not only that, he also got off b/c of it. Benson and Stabler were challenged all year, and some of the cases were jaw dropping..

I didnt chose Dexter, b/c I tivo and go back to it..I caught on to it late, and the Desperate Housewives gals were there first. I didnt chose SVU, b/c they came outta the gate slow this year. I didnt chose Lost, b/c there finale was evidently so good, that they decided to take the rest of 07 off..

I chose The Wire because that show is the TRUTH! Every character has the ability to take the show over and run with it. From the Crakhead who just wants a better life for his nephew, to the kid tryin to escape his momz shadow..Its all to the good fam..Its the best show on TV...January 6th can come fast enough.

Dont Ever bet against Floyd...Ever

A really good friend of mind who considers himself a pugilist analyst told me that the "SMART BET" was Ricky Hatton for the decision. He told me that when you look at the overall quality of work, you see 2 fighter's that on paper could be about as even as possible. Vegas will lean on Floyd, so if youre "SMART" you'll bet Hatton. No one will see it coming, Vegas is expecting the Floyd betters, and though there will be some from oversees rooting , and slamming down pounds for Hatton, buy and large the real money is with Floyd and a round.

You pick Hatton, youre golden. Period. Especially if you pick around. (Though Floyd has never hit the deck.) So my boxing buddy say's pick Hatton and the Decisison..I didnt do it fam. Largely because I didn plan on paying for the fight. The last 3 ppv's i've paid for did NOT hold up to expectaion. So I like many of you watched something else. My younger brother, who was at a fight party was to act as my offficial score keeper. ..He did a great job up until the KNOCKOUT.. Yep you guessed it, the KNOCKOUT..When I heard Hatton was kissing the canvas, it didnt come from my brother, it came from that budy who said "The smart Bet was to bet Hatton" ..Oh, and if youre wandering he BET 300 on Hatton. Cat was heated!!!! I was a little upest to, mostly b/c I didnt get to see it when it happened. Soon, my borther would call after the hype settled down from his fight party. It sounds like I missed a doozy!

I did learn a valuable lesson though, never ever bet against Floyd. I personally never have, and the 2 times I bet in his favor, he's cashed in to the tune of 3 free haricuts, and 100 bucks. My buddy who I ASKED to guess blog only had this to say " When everybody's betting for red, I always go the other way" . Dont get me wrong , when people bet that way, typically the payout is huge when it works. The problem is, there's a reason why the sure thing is well the sure thing. Theyt expect the suckers to bet more on the little guy. And that is where people like my bud in ____ get jobbed every time.

Peepz, I was so sick yesterday I couldnt even roll out of the bed. I dont know how to tell you the sickness that was in me, but I can tell you this much, it orignated in my kids daycare. I was told it was a Sinus (sic) Infection and these are common amongst kids and spread easily through them. Its when it gets to there parents is when you see the real problems. Fam, I love my son to death, but I wanted to makle him tap out for giving me this ish. I was useless yesterday.

Anyhow, Im a little better now. Well enough to go into a little random thought. I dont know if any of yall caugfht this story, but a 7 yr old little girld in Detroit Michigan, Alexia Parker, is my new hero. Get this, she took 7 shots in protection of her mom and is listed in stable condition. Apparently mommies exboyfriend decided he was tired of mommy, Alexia put her life on the line to ensure her mom would live. Incredible doesnt even begin to describe it. Im 29 and terrified of the concept of being shot. I will take a bullet for anyone in my family, but I cant tell you that at 7 I would still say the same. I may never meet Alexia, but if anyone of my Detroit people are reading this, let her know she has a big fan in San Antonio.

Georgia, is playing better then anybody right now, and the only reason they got jobbed was b/c they didnt win there bracket. Its about who's the best, and they are.

Secondly, How do you put Kansas in a BCS game when they lost to Mizzou, and Missou was ranked #1. There only losses are to 1 team, and that team is playing in a BCS Bowl.

Hawaii to the Sugar Bowl? Why not put them in the Fiesta? There Fans are alot mroe closer to AZ then NO. Also, as far as timezones go, the PST is alot more convienent then CST for Hi residents to watch the game.

I know, and everyone else does that its all about the LOOT. But if this season doenst tell you that a playoff is needed, then nothing will. Today one of my Guest Bloggers who like me was a serious Sean Taylor Fan decided he's weigh in on the Sean Taylor situation with his take on how this not only affects Sean's Family, but our community as a whole. ede

Yesterday this world lost a great athlete but most importantly a wonderful husband, friend and provider.
Sean Taylor’s death is not only tragic it also reinforces the echoes' of the mantra of killed or be killed that is plaguing the African American community and this nation as a whole. The situation surrounding Sean’s death was not the all too common theme of random gun violence associated with a late night at the gentlemen’s club or a feud with some longtime nemesis. No, Sean was at home with his wife and child! Let me reiterate Sean was at with his wife and child. Home; the one place every American has some reasonable expectation of peace and comfort.
I was truly taken aback by the circumstance around Sean’s death. A home invasion robbery turned homicide resemblances a untimely fate reserved for drug dealers and other unsavory person(s) who have chosen the underworld as haven, not of a professional athlete who used his God given ability to provide a better lifestyle for his family. Sean ‘s untimely death forces each American and especially African Americans males to ask ourselves where does this chaotic behavior end. Why is it so much easier to pick up a gun and take a life to get what we want rather than pick up a pen and fill out a job application? When did it become cool to take what another man has worked so hard to gain rather than want to achieve the same things for yourself?
In closing I ask everyone who is reading this article please take the time to talk your children, younger cousins, nieces and nephews about morals, values and the tranquility of life. To paraphrase a Bible verse “What good is it to gain the world and have nothing in haven.”
Just ask the Taylor family no amount of earthly wealth will bring such a promising young man back.

Its a pretty sad day here. We lost one of our Favorite's on the blog. Sean Taylor, Safety extraordinaire for the Washington Redskins was pronounced dead this morning after succumbing to injuries sustained by gunshot wounds from an apparent home burglary.

We didn't know Sean the person, we only knew Sean the player. That guy was a freakish monster. He was considered by many as the best in the game at that position. From a personal standpoint, I can say that I'll miss him flying across the field and laying a cat out. I pray for his family at this troubling time.

Tksgiving gave to me fam. Dressing, Peach Cobbler, Ham, Turkey, and Pound Cake. I ate more, but those are some of the more prominent hilights. I gotta admit, I didnt eat as much as I normally would, but I tore down.

Well peepz, its that time of the year when I get to go to Houston and fellowship with family and take a couple of days off the blog. Its been a fun time here on Realpeepz this year. Ok, so my coworker has a 7 yr old little girl. Were online lookin for tickets to go see Hannah Montanna and people I sh!+ you not, these tickets are STARTING at 250 AND thats in the CHEAP SEATS...Im'a say that again, 250+ and thats in the cheap seats.

Now, I've watched the show with my nieces, and people I dont get the hype. Im not sayin ol' gal isnt worthy of it, (I Just left Vegas and happen to know for a fact some of them catz are over charging) but , she getting ticket prices up there wit the big boyz. Now, I'd pay 250+ for MJ, R-Kellz, Usher, Beyonce, Maroon-5(dont laugh) Justin, Janet, Jigga, and thats the list. But Hannah? Wow..

And peepz if you dont believe ol' gal aint pullin, Google search her name and ticket. After you pick your jaw up from off the ground, I'll still be here.. Incredible right? Somebody tell me what im missin.

As I speak to you live from my soon to be empty hotel room, let me give yall some final pointers about this piece that I learned while I allowed last night to suck my bank account like a vaccuum at in a dust bowl...

Robert was wrong for this track fam..Say what you want to about him, but he killed this joint...

1. Scared money aint makin SH!T...

Peep game, anyone thinking there gonna gamble with couch change aint breakin thre bank out here..Every machine, dealer, and game you play has some built in trigger that knows yo ass is tryin to flip a 20 spot into a 100 dollar lick...The adjustments are set so it gives you the indication that youre doing a good jobIE, they'll let you get up btwn 5 to 10 dollars on them before th e hammer drops. In the case of a human, they'll the change dealers out. In the case of the machine, they'll go on a massive 6 game win or push streak forcin you to put your nutz on the table, or go home..I called this system , the Cheapfolk Indicator... Fam, no matter your race or taste, it never fails, you try to cheap out Vegas, it will find out, and you will lose..TRUST ME...

2. Keep Tip Money!

They comp you on so much ish out here, you gotta show love fam. How come I ate at 5 buffets on the strip that would go anywhere from 15-20 bucks a buffet depending on time for FREE...

All the materdees, bartenders, dancers, waitresses, etc ask for is a little appreciation. My coworker and I figured this out, and even though I may have spent 50 in tips since Sunday to now, that 50 saved me about an extra 2-300 dollars on food, parking, and discounts on the George Wallace show..BTW, that cat is funny! As for Toni, fam she a little out the Kids budget..(try 150 a ticket at the minimum...)

3. Grown and Sext wins every time.

Try getting inside Studio 54, Pure, Club 702,(pop casino clubs) Anywhere in Ceasers, Bellagio, Flamingo or Certain Parts of the Tropicanna with Jeans and Sneakers on..Go ahead i'll wait..I assure you I wont be waiting long. For my ladies, try showin up here lookin like a HOOD-8 and convining yo self that here men will notice..Look around the room ladies and tell me yall dont see the difference between what you can and cant get away with. Every woman here is either a tourist or a prostitute, and 95% of them is makin yo hood-8 look like a Vegas -1. And so you know a Vegas -1 equals about a grownfolk 2..Imagine going to the hot spot in yo city with rollers in yo hair, faded jeans, and scuffed up sneaks..

People, I cant stress it enough, you aint comin to vegas, with yo local rules and tryin to make them apply here. It just aint gonna happen when it comes to fashion. Fellas pack slacks, tell B at the barber shop to make it count, and bring dress shoes you can walk in.

Ladies, Bring bag for your hair products, an empty bag (so you can have no excuse as to why you didnt have any room in your luggage for all the new ish you just bought) and bring all the stuff thats hangin in the closets with the tags on. Yall know what im talkin about to .That stuff you alway's tell yo self you have no good reason to wear it where you at stuff. You'll need it all here.

Rule-4 Learn who's the go to people in yo Casino/Hotel..

Made my life easier here by 100 percent when i figured out who was takin care of me , at the bar, cafe and etc. Hidden gems are everywhere here. They wont tell you, you just have to find out who they are. Peepz did you know that as long as you gamblin drinks are comped here. They wont tell you unless you ask, BUT, my bartender hook up noticed I ran up a 60 dollar tap on night 3, told me to slip him a 5 and put 10 in the machine and walla , he comped me. I cashed out my 10 and essentially turned a 60 dollar drink fee into a 5 dollar loss.. Thats gangsta..And so you know, most casinos do this..You just have to ask ahead of time. No matter if youre staying here or not. Vegas wants your money..Vegas feels if they keep you drinkin, it will all balance out..Trust me on this it does..

Finally Bring Money fam.

I know i said that before to, but trust you aint making it out here if you dont have ATLEAST 150- 200 bucks a day. You just wont.

That about covers it for me fam. Its time for me to load the vehicle and get back to San Antonio.

I guess it was just a matter of time really..So, Im in my hotel getting ready for our early am checkout. Its about 3am Local time, and there I stood in the middle of registration with nothing better to do but gamble, and watch people traffic..(people traffic is fun stuff)y

So I make my way to the slots(blackjack addict) and low and behold, Im approached by a lady of the night..Now this is a common occurence out there...I fit the perfect profile, at the slots, playing the cheap games..(they assume im saving money) I inform our lady of the moment that im indeed waiting for my co-worker and not interested in her date..She then walks off. All of a sudden out of know where I can here her in a heated arguement just 10 ft away from me with some lil dude who has to be about 22 at the oldest..Evidently she hasnt made her quota, and lil man is upset with her..Her friend then approaches lil man and says "Its slow, Its monday, give us a break damn!" He cuts his eyes at the nozy friend and say BITCH, Am I talkin to you??" Say something out of turn one more time and watch what I do to you...

Evidently ol'gal wasnt tryin to here that..She kept yappin, and lil man kept gettin more and more annoyed..All of a sudden he grabs the friend by the neck and choked her to the ground..

I was just shocked..Her friend is screaming help us, Help us, but what the hell was I supposed to do, she chose a pimp, and the pimp had certain expectations.. He glared at me and said. "What the hell you lookin at Nigga" I was like "the show bruh"..Security was paged and then little man beet feet quick. The two gals got up and took off outta the Casino.. I go to the bar and relay this story to the onlookers, and I kid you not, one of the guys at the bar had this to say"man, thats twice in one night!" Now before Im hit with why didnt you help the girl out, bare in mind, this girl chose this life, and interferring in an affair you knoe nothing about, is some very iffy biz out here...

People, I say again, Vegas is on some different ish....

Tonight, im in Death Valley..No need to look it up fam, think of the middle of knowhere, having a middle of knowhere, and thats Death Valley. Its only for a day, and then its back to Sin City..People, my company has me on the strip for a week...For all the Vegas pro's reading,can you imagine staying here that long?? Exactly......

Rule--1
Bring Money!!!!
You are not doing anything in Vegas with 75 dollars in ya pocket..(black folk)
Save up , prepare to bring atleast 500. That may get you through 2 days if you budget right...

Rule-2
Pack for everything.
Bring Grown and sexy b/c some places wont let you in there event wearing jeans and jerseys/
Bring Jeans and Jersey's for the party..Alot of the Casino's have Bars with live music. Relax wear seems a must..

Rule-3
Bring an Appetite.
Ive had a buffet for Dinner Breakfast and Lunch. All were good, and as fellow blogger P mentioned the Harrah's is top notch. Your stomach will thankyou

Rule-4
Know your limit.
If youre a light Drinker or Gambler, roll with that. Its waaaayy to easy to get in over your head here. And on the cheap at that.

If you can follow these BASIC rules Vegas will be a sinch. Now with that said, im sitting in my hotel room sobering up from the mad dash of drinking and hosting, but I can tell you this place is as advertised.

I have a good friend and daily reader of the blog who told me to bring the following topic to the table and ask for opinions on it. He really likes a girl at work, but in the past he's seen far more misses then hits in this practice. Ive told him that I personally wouldnt do it and here's the points I hit him with.

1. When it doesnt work out, yall get to see each other every day.
2. You no room for personal space. If it works out, and you decide to spend more and more time together, then you have nothing interesting or fresh to talk about b/c you see each other all the time.
3. Friends are equal. Some tend to like it, others dont. But, sharing friends can be problamatic when there's conflict.

There are Positives though and even though I aimed primarily to have him NOT do this, I hit him with these.

1 .Gas is alot cheaper when you share a car to work
2. No trust issues
3. Scheduling things together is alot easier when youre on the same schedule.

I can only speak from my personal expereince, but I cant reccomend dating a someone you have to see for 16 hrs a day M-F. Now my boy and this girl have been flirting for the better part of a month now, and last night they went on a group outing and though there was 6 people from the job present, him and the girl broke off and spent alot of time alone towards the end. I told him while its still fresh, let it go. BUT, thats just what I'd do.

5 Things I learned from College Football

5. Charlie Weis Cant Coach!. Let it be known this guy sucks and should be fired now! You lost to Navy Chuck?? Navy?? Really?? Now you get to answer all the questions next year about why you should keep your job. Im so glad Ty get to watch you suffer from afar. The only thing that would make this sweeter would be you tanking the rest of the way. Lets go Air Force!

4. Oregon's for real people! Ive only been saying this since they handed Mich. there jocks at Michigan. If Dennis doesnt win the little guy with his hand in stiff arm mode, its a joke.

3. A&M, Notre Dame, and Nebraska should ALL be looking for hed coaches next year. Sadly, Im only confident Nebraska will actually do anything. There beatdowns are becoming more and more legendary by the second. Normally when you hear milestones associated with Nebraska you think wins and yardage. NOT thorough ass whippings.

2. LSU showed me heart against Alabama. Real grit. I can say that this team BELONGS in the Championship Game. No Question. The only problem is, who should they play? Im not convinced that THE OSU is worthy of the big game, but LSU is.

1. BC, it was fun while it lasted huh? The number 2 slot in CFB is a gimmick spot. Youre not #1 and every one thinks youre there b/c of a week schedule. You do your job , and try to compete, and one upset free falls you to 8th. Its a sham..But seriously, yall wern't that good.

5 NFL Things I learned

5. Adrian Peterson's a Man! ROY lives in Minnesota. Believe that. 296 yards passing is huge, but rushing my man thats MVP worthy. Say it with me now, Adrian Peterson's a top 2 Running Back as a rookie. I defy you to name anyone better then him when he's starting and getting the same amount of snaps.

4. The Panthers are not going anywhere this year. Damn. I had this team in the Superbowl. Of course this was Before they signed Carr, and I had assumed Delhomme would be healthy all year. Oh well.

3. If youre a Browns fan, do you want to see BQ next year? Im jus sayin. Derek Anderson's playing manly, yall are winning, and God forbid yall get a running back next year. Its over. Yall are young, hungry, and talented. Good Times in CLE. (which make up for the Bad Baseball and Basketball finishes)

2. Cowboys Packers, and Pakcers Lions are turning out to be 2 helluva good games soon. I think the Pakers win 1 of these, but rihgt now I honsetly dont know which one. Detroit's playin like 10 wins is a minimum, and Dallas is NFC elite.

1. The Patriots will not lose a game all year. Period. Yesterday was the last chance the NFL had to stop them. They can hang it up now. Anyone left on the 72 Dolphins who thought they were buying some cold sparkly champaign can hang it up. Its over....
